Fresh  -  Aid  -  Ghana

Welcome To Fresh Aid

FreshAid was conceived in 2009 to provide advice, support, guidance, counselling, advocacy and representation services for women and young people living in Ghana and the neighbouring countries. The organisation was established in response to outcomes of Surveys conducted by various organisations which highlighted on how young people and women in both the traditional nuclear and extended family setups are poorly represented and look after when economic, social and financial conditions become acute. The situation is further compounded by the relatively small support provided by the government through social welfare.

The overall consequence of this dire situation has been a marked increase of both domestic violence and rebellious teenagers. The Founding members decided in their wisdom to do something against this ever prevailing calamity. Freshaid as it is now officially known (acquired its NGO official status June,2010) is dedicated to improving and empowering both of the above mentioned groups. It provides a refuge with a comprehensive support services to help them become self reliance and active participant in their respective societies.

Now that it is up and running, its immediate concern and task is to get as much publicity as possible but also to get you involve and to become an active participant in its endeavour. We believe that an organisation of this nature has been long overdue. Come with us - join Freshaid to continue the good work so far achieved and to increase the social activities offered.

We do appreciate your support and thank you very much for visiting our website.
