Freshaid mission is to provide channels through which social, political and economic issues affecting ordinary Ghanaians can be addressed. We aim to do these by employing a structured united front on the one hand that will deal with the establishment and on the other hand utilizing the bond of humanity and culture that binds us all together. To be the prominent source of Information, Advice and Guidance for Ghanaians at the community level on issues and programmes that affect their lives.

Freshaid will be engaged in various capacities to tackle underlying causes of social disintegration and exclusion through established Government channels. We will also partake with other organisations to create permanent social change with special emphasis on improving basic education, preventing the spread of HIV, domestic violence, and increase access to government, expanding economic opportunities, the building of good communities and the provision of aids to collectively make people more self-sufficient. Drawing strength from our global diversity, resources and experiences, we will promote innovative solutions and encourage global responsibility. We will facilitate lasting change through:

• Strengthening capacity for self-help.
• Providing economic opportunity.
• Delivering relief in emergencies.
• Influencing policy decisions at all levels.
• Addressing discrimination in all its forms.

We will work in partnership with NGO's, charitable organizations, churches, chiefs, community leaders and local government to develop services in response to the needs of local residents - the infirm, elderly, children, women, young people and family groups.

Knowledge is Power:

Freshaid enhances and supports the education of willing students who wish to further their studies in higher education, (especially women). We provide academic supports through one-to-one and group studies (Saturday classes). This in the main is towards JHS and SHS preparations. There will be public enlightenment programme to help individuals seeking knowledge. We believe that basic education can be free to all and therefore our vision of free basic education was put into practice on 31st May, 2010 by establishing an early learning centre accessible to at no cost. (The success of this scheme will only depend on the generous donation from indivuduals

Health is Wealth:

A virus has been sweeping the world for the past four decades causing a disease which has killed millions of people and which looks likely to kill millions more, it is a virus called HIV, meaning Human Immunodeficiency Virus. This virus attacks and damages the immune system. It causes a variety of symptoms known as AIDS. The extent of this AIDS crisis has become clear in many developing countries and more recently in the developed countries as the world continues to shrink into a global village. Freshaid will partner with other organizations to bring the awareness of this festering epidemic to the community by organizing Health Awareness Meetings. A United Nations report speculated that the impact of the AIDS epidemic on our societies will be felt most strongly in the course of the next ten years and beyond, hence our commitment not to relent efforts in enlightening the community on the social and economic consequences in the health, education, industry, agriculture, transport, human resources and the economy in general.

Your Status Your Legal Rights

Freshaid believe of the sovereignty and independence of all countries. It also subscribes to the objectives of each independent country to protect its public and to provide a safe, just and tolerant society. Most people have suffered Post Traumatic Stress Disorder following deportation/removal from a foreign country due to the experiences they went through during detention and removal. Some have finally become alcohol/drug dependants and some suffer from severe mental health problems. It is in light of this that Freshaid thought it wise to set up a specific service for people who have been forced to return home from overseas or returned voluntarily to settle back home. Blood is thicker than water.

The family unit despite increasing variation in definition still remains a unifying strong force for humanity. The world as is popularly coined these days is a "global village". One can easily get confuse with the noun village thinking is a euphemism for small and compact. Neither is it compact nor small. Information and Telecommunication technology without doubt has eased the means by which we communicate. However, these same technologies and other by-products are responsible for the dislocation of our social fabric. People are increasingly living on their own, find employment far a field and having interracial marriages. These in the main, have led to the present day diversity we have become acquainted with. Human by and large still crave for their ancestral genealogy. As mentioned earlier blood being thicker than water has an uncanny ability of forcing one to go looking for long lost relative they have abandoned for one reason or another. Freshaid will be facilitating communication between families and individuals. We will provide supports, encouragement, celebrate happy reunion of family members. Domestic Violence:

The fabric of Ghanaian society is based on a culture of family institutions. Thus, it is Freshaid aims to promote and maintain effective advocacy service which will strengthen communities in the context of family unity during incidence of domestic violence.
